Natural Fat Burner


I’ve never been big on artificial fat burners. I’ve used them before, but could never really understand the ingredients. Plus, they’re usually filled with artificial sweeteners, flavour and preservatives and none of these ever sat right in my system.

I remember a few years back, landing in LA, in full comp-mode, en route to the world stage in Las Vegas, sitting on my bed dividing up all of my many vitamins, fish oils, fat burners and more. I must have been consuming 8 tablets/capsules per day. It was insane! These days, the only supplements I consume are Vitamin B12 and Vitamin C.

This fat burner is one that I have been using basically since I turned vegan. It is best taken first thing in the morning, before food. You can drink it warm or cold, depending on your climate.

  • 1 tbs Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ½ Lemon, juiced
  • up to ½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • up to ¼ tsp Cinnamon
  • 250ml Water
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional sweetener) 

Add all ingredients to a blender and whip it up.

If consuming warm, add hot water, then cold water, then add all other ingredients. If boiling water comes into contact with lemon, it will lose it’s Vitamin C potency.

To make life easier, I make this is bulk, then pour it into ice cube trays, freeze, then store in a sealed container in the freezer. Each evening, I take one cube out and allow it to defrost in the fridge ready for the next morning.
